The 22nd of June might well be a very important date both in and for
The Aqaba House, as it marks the date on which we will host our second big art-event. Okay, on the 31st of December, 2009,
The Aqaba House was also open for visitors, to mark the fact that our first exhibition (
30 days in Luxor, by Hakim Jamain, remember) was opened, but except for the two guests arrving that night, not a soul came to that opening-night. In spring, we had a very nice event surrounding the opening of
Tariq Dajani's photographs of Wadi Rum, but today on the 2nd day of summer (and oh yeah, it's hot in Aqaba!) we invite all interested souls to dive deep into the waters of the 4 elements, by first taking a look at Bader Mahasneh's way of
sculpting the water and, when the sun has set, come to downtown Aqaba for a Dutch documentary, simply called
4 elements.
Although Bader's photo's have been on show for a while in The House today The Aqaba House will be open for all in Aqaba to take a look at his work.
